I've had a Cisco M20 (aka Linksys WRT310N v2) running DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/07/12) mini (SVN revision 18946M NEWD-2 K2.6 Eko) in service for years.
It has been good (for what it is), stable, except for one thing. At least 4 times when there was a power outage, once power has returned it has lost all configuration. It does not do this every time the power fails.
If it had just started doing it, I'd wonder if it's old age, wearing out but I recall it did this when newer too and still ran fine between such events for years, completely stable otherwise.
Of course I made a backup to restore, and that works, but does anyone know what is going on? I have another, different DD-WRT router on same premises that has never lost its settings while seeing the same power outages. |
