I had some problems getting my WRT3200ACM to work and loaded an earlier version of DD-wrt. It's working just fine now but I can't upgrade the firmware anymore. I start the upgrade, then the clock starts counting down, then I get a failed message. I have to power cycle the router to get the GUI to come back up. I'm not sure how to fix this.

Do not attempt to flash r44772; wait for the next build. Do not use Chrome or Chromium-based to upgrade.

Never reset during an upgrade (always keep the dropdown option selected "Don't reset" to avoid issues).

You may want to try r44048 and if it fails then r36527 has a problem with web GUI upgrade.

Pale Moon, Waterfox (Current 78 or Classic 56), Firefox ESR 78 or Firefox Portable Legacy (ESR 52 or 45).

In general avoid add-ons, extensions or plugins and clear all history in advance.

If still having problems, you will need to attempt an upgrade via Telnet command line, or CLI, as root.

The get command below will return a value 1 or 2.

ubootenv get boot_part

Use the opposite value in the set command.

The example below is if your boot_part value is 2.

cd /tmp

wget ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2020/08-02-2020-r44048/linksys-wrt3200acm/ddwrt-linksys-wrt3200acm-webflash.bin

write ddwrt-linksys-wrt3200acm-webflash.bin linux

ubootenv set boot_part 1

reboot

After successful flash and reboot, consider one of three reset methods: hardware reset, web GUI restore factory defaults from administration -> factory defaults, or "nvram erase & reboot" from Telnet as root. Then, reconfigure manually from scratch.

That was super helpful. I just downloaded the latest firefox and did the upgrade and it worked like a charm. I'm hopeful everything will be working okay. Very Happy
