• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog, serial output, strace, tcpdump etc.
• For firewall NAT or WAN issues provide 'iptables -vnL', 'iptables -t nat -vnL', 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.
Upgraded WRT1200AC v1's from r44715 to r44772 using Brave Version 1.10.97 (64-bit) running on Linux Mint 20 OS.
Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, uptime approximately 3 hrs, wired/wireless connected, vpn up immediately (Expressvpn). I do not use NAS. SFE is always disabled. OpenVPN client/DNSMasq, QoS with PIE always enabled.

In this version if you reboot the router it loses all settings, in a word I think it resets to initial values!
This also happens from the web interface and if I reboot from the putty... _________________ Internet provider https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCS_%26_RDS 1Gbps

I too experienced the same problem on my 3200ACM - lost all settings after a reboot. Would not accept a restore Configuration file. Executed a Restore Factory Defaults then rebooted router. Again would not accept a restore configuration file. Would not retain a created user name and password. Every reboot required creating user/password again. Flashed back to r44715 and restored configuration. All settings are now retained and operating as expected.
Reading the above posts, having not rebooted since updating, I decided to revert to r44715. The revert was successful but, like those who rebooted, I lost all settings including the Local IP Address reverting back to 192.162.1.1. I could access the GUI by using 192.162.1.1 and entering my old user name/password.
Checking my last backup for this router, I downloaded and reverted to r44483 and restored my backup file for that release. All settings were restored including my VPN setup. I then updated to r44715 with no issues and retaining all settings.
I then rebooted to confirm setting were retained with a successful reboot and all setting retained. Up-time about 20 minutes with no issues.

I second this issue. Found out the hard way when connecting and discovering my config and VPN tunnel was gone. I'm still currently using this version, however, flashed to r44715, restored its config, and re-flashed to r44772, to hold the config without manually re-entering the config. Its a little confusing, for I've hard booted the router a couple of times to try and reproduce the issue with no error as of yet. So the problem may be intermittent. I'm assuming at this point, my "stay alive" 4am reboot to deal with the WIFI connect issues may have been when the router defaulted. I'll need to continue to monitor to catch it again.
Failed to flash when upgrading from version DD-WRT v3.0-r36527 std (08/09/1 on Linksys WRT3200ACM. It was necessary to power cycle the router in order to get back to a working GUI.
