I have just followed the instructions to flash DD-WRT on my Linksys WRT1900ACS router. However, when I try to access the DD-WRT control panel by putting http://192.168.1.1 into my browser, it opens up with LinksysSmartWifi.
Q 1 - Can I tell if my Router has been flashed correctly? and
Q 2 If it has how can I get to the control panel?
Please keep reply as non=technical as possible as this is all new to me. Thanks

You are posting in the wrong forum, you do not tell us what instruction you followed nor what build(number) you used

Blue label on bottom of router, upper right: does it say just WRT1900ACS (the v1 version of the router) or WRT1900ACS V2 (the v2 version)? dd-wrt has different firmware files for the two versions, and this blue label is the only place where it is labeled. The box won't say v2. The online listing at your favorite merchant won't say v2. Even the FCC ID elsewhere on the label won't say. But you need to know.

When you flash, be aware of the contents of the "Cliff Notes" sticky at the top of the Marvell forum.

Glad to hear you succeeded!

Next step: check out https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Atheros/ath_wireless_settings to sort out your wifi settings. A fine point: I suggest keeping protection mode off -- no RTS/CTS or whatever -- as I had wifi instability recently with it on (on 44048).

When it's time to wrap up the thread because the problem is basically solved, it's best for the original poster (OP... you) to edit the original post to add "[SOLVED]" or some such at the beginning of he subject field.
