|
I have a 500/500 mbit connection.
My stock ISP router easily achieves 500/500 with my computer connected over LAN (sometimes even surpasses it).
But if I connected my NETGEAR R6700v3 router flashed with DD-WRT v3.0-r44191 std (08/15/20) to the ISP router LAN port, then connect my computer to the DD-WRT router, I can only get around 400/400 (sometimes even less).
I noticed that with QoS on in DD-WRT, even though it was set to 500/500, I only managed to achieve 300/300. Now that I have disabled QoS, the speed is still only 400/400.
What could be going on here? Is the R6700v3 too weak to handle this speed? |

many threads on the same subject...
with few words, try to turn SFE on, or buy a new router, your router has a max WAN speed limit, due to its CPU...
Better routers, with faster CPU's, deliver better performance.... next level router R7800 will do better...! _________________ Atheros
