I tried to set a 5Ghz VAP up on R7000p (r44483) and the 5ghz wl1.1 does not show in the DHCPD drop down section or under port setup even after reboot, 2.4 vap shows fine. (5ghz radio works settings below)
Tried the same method on my r7800 (r44483) and ath1.1 shows straight away so problem is with R7000p.

Sorry thought it would be linked to the R7000p channel issue that's the only reason i replied/posted it in that thread. i don't need it to work on the r7000p not looking for help to fix it, i was only using it to learn about VAP's and bridging when i couldn't get the 5GHz vap to show up, it could be a separate issue i grant you but suspect its linked to the channel issue on the R7000p.

I have the exact same problem. DD-WRT, have tried multiple beta builds including latest (9/23/21) for the R7000P and I can get W0.1 VAP up, but the W1.1 will never appear either functionally or in the >Networking GUI interface list. I have DDWRT running great on an r6400, VAPs etc. However if I cannot get VAPs working on both 2.4g and 5g for Guest network purposes it is useless.
I have tried hard resets, reset to factory, loaded earlier builds, tried reverting to factory latest firmware and resetting defaults then upgrade to DDWRT. All failed, same result - no 5G VAP (2.4 G works, Wl0.1). VAPs (guest network) in OEM Firmware works. I also tried all the CLI scripts to set a sleep time and start restart systems/modules/interfaces/services etc and nothing worked. Also tried erasing nvram && reboot, still no 5G VAP solution.
After working with DD WRT on the 6400 I was really looking forward to migrating to the 7000P since it has a bit bigger motor under the hood and stronger wifi. However this is a deal breaker.
Any suggestions? This seems to be the only feature (that I need) that isn't working. Again, this is a Netgear r7000P, not 7000.
