This is a refurbished router I bought about a year ago and I finally get around to testing it.

I have it configured as an access point but the problem I keep getting is the connection disconnects randomly after a few hours. I have this connected up to my main router (RT-N66U) which has been solid for years. I can't figure out the reason why the C1900 is losing connection randomly. I thought at first it was because my other machine was a linux box but my windows 10 machine has the same issue. I've looked at the lease configuration on the main router and I have never touched the setting on that before.

Short of just switching the 2 routers around and then testing it that way for awhile I'm not sure what else I can do to test the Access Point disconnecting problem.

Okay. 44538 or 40559, which is your "latest" that you flashed... and have you consulted the wireless settings wikis?

I just went through the wiki's below and updated my router.

I just upgraded to build 44715 today. The https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/TP_Link_Archer_C9 recommending 2016 versions of the firmware and I'm not sure if all the security is updated in those old builds.

The wiki builds are the ones for first flash.

After that you should update to a recent build, 44715 seems fine but always look in the build threads.

See the forum guide lines where how and what to download Smile

Ok I finally went through all the configuration pages, and found that I had accidentally (still no idea how) setup the auto reboot every 3600 seconds! Doh! Rolling Eyes
