Routing to the internet is broken for me after fresh install of this build on r7000 (GUI factory reset was done). When making a change to the config, I see a few pings to 8.8.8.8 succeed and then timeout again.

I tried the change to the Switch Config as described here: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=163637 (bottom of page 1) by trying to move ports assigned to vlan1 (the default) to vlan3. That didn't work, because the vlan3 assignment to bridge always reverts back from LAN to None and I don't know how to set this in the shell.

I did find a workaround: Under Advanced Routing (I use Gateway mode), change Dynamic Routing from Disable to another value (I tried Both and LAN & WLAN) and the routing starts working until it breaks again after a reboot.

Any idea of what might be going on?

Never mind, solved it by disabling Routing under Administration->Management and setting the Dynamic Routing under Advanced Routing back to Disabled.

Disregard the bridge assignment column in switch config tab, assignment is done in the Networking Tab.

You don't need Dynamic Routing unless you have a lot of other routers on your LAN. It will not work in Gateway Mode over the WAN. It's the restart of the drivers that caused routing to work, not enabling this feature.

When it stops working, is the default route 0.0.0.0 lost?

Ok, good to know.

Yeah, I just missed the Routing setting under Router Management. Disabling that fixed the issue. I never checked if the default route got lost. It's likely, because that's how it behaved.

This was a new install over Netgear factory firmware which was consistently crashing once daily. I needed to know if the router was going bad or the Netgear latest firmware was bad.

Since everything (I use) is working, I will stay with this build.

Thanks to all behind the effort.

Router Model / Version: Asus RT-AC68U B1 (styled as RT-AC68P)
Previous Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44406 std (09/18/20)
Current Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44467 std (09/24/20)
File: Asus_rt-ac68u-firmware.trx
Kernel: Linux 4.4.236 #1134 SMP Thu Sep 24 10:35:23 +04 2020 armv7l
Reset: No
Mode: Access Point - WAN disabled - LAN connected to broadband gateway
Setup: Basic, nothing special
Uptime: Several months (!)
Temperatures: CPU: 74.7°C / WL0: 49.5°C / WL1: 52.0°C
Issues: None

My Asus RT-AC68P (B1) has been running flawlessly since I installed build r44467 (std) a few days after its release on 2020-09-24. During the seven-plus months since then, the router has been up and running continuously, except for a couple of occasions when a loss of mains power caused a reboot. Current uptime is 83 days. Hooray!

I'll probably try a newer release soon -- the most recent as I write this is r46604 -- but if anything goes wrong with that, I'm confident that r44467 will be safe to return to. Thanks to all DD-WRT developers and contributors!
