That petition is aimed at the wrong company. It is Marvell it should be aimed at. Marvell controls the drivers, not Linksys. Linksys can't do anything, they were likely provided the code under NDA.

Marvell sold all Wi-Fi and Bluetooth assets to NXP. (one, two, three, four) duckduckgo marvell site:nxp.com

Just sign this petition and don't be indifferent,from what I see we are many here and on Openwrt on the forum who use these routers, let's be united to see what we can do....
