I see Kong left the scene a few month ago. I understand that Brain Slayer builds are equally good. I am wondering what build is considered good for the R7000's hardware recognizing that all are considered testing/beta.

Currently running r36070M kongac (05/31/2018).

Thanks! Which Kong build is it? Also, I feel like since Kong is dead to this project, I should just wait until someone with the hardware can recommend a BS build and just use it. Perhaps more people with it will chime in.

These kinds of questions are what new beta release build threads are for. Not like nobody in any of 'em has reported R7000 devices or anything. That build is 40270M.

read through build threads

look for posts about your router

note the settings being used

are you running something similar

if there is an issue with a build it will get posted

if it's a build that people haven't had issues with

give it a shot at test it for yourself

Hi @thunderhead, giving this post a bump as I'm looking for similar advise. Same router R7000, looking for recommended latest build that is considered stable and functional (either kong or brainslayer).

I realise I can go through individual posts but for 'simple' users such as myself, it would be much appreciated if there was an easy way to have such a recommendation availalbe?

Research the build threads. That is the easiest way to find out what you want to know.

Alozaros,
I am looking for the latest Kong build for router Asus RT-AC68U but has no luck since Kong build repository is gone. Saw your posting on this build but for a different router (Netgear r7000 I believe) and just want to confirm that this file would work with my router also. Can you confirm ? thanks

I am not Alozaros and never will be but see if this <Kong>-Supported-Models.txt helps.

I'll answer your obtuse disregard for my signature here. Same webUI and codebase for BrainSlayer builds, save and except for whatever patches <Kong> had in his dev environment repository which no longer exists.
