Router Model Buffalo WZR-1750DHP
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r36410 std (07/28/1Cool
Previous Version: r30357
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.144 #3591 SMP Thu Jul 26 13:46:00 CEST 2018 armv7l

Wi-fi 5Ghz max range not more than 12 feet now.
Speed wired: 156Mbps DL & 30.9 Mbps UL
Speed Wi-fi 4 Feet: 80 DL & 28 UL
Speed W-fi 10 ft: 26.2 DL 27 UL
Not able to update to any other build. It gets stacked at "upload 1%" on Gui or via command). Did 30/30/30 reset and also factory default. No changes.
Please advise what to do to move to a better build and which one.

Thanks for the help,

are you using wireless to try to update? have you tried the factory to ddwrt or the webflash.bin?

AfterShock thanks for the response

I'm using a wired connection between PC and WZR-1750DHP and wired from there to the ISP Modem.
I tried on Command the WRITE:
cd /tmp
wget http:http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2017/04-06-2017-r31825/buffalo_wzr-1750dhp/factory-to-dd-wrt.bin
write factory-to-dd-wrt.bin Linux &
It kept Executing forever. After 20 min. I closed the router control panel, reboot the router. Access again via 192.168.1.1 and nothing changed.
I did also a factory default and a 30/30/30 reset after that.
I also tried the Web GUI upgrade and it kept always at upload 1%.

Thanks,

I would suggest trying with the latest build from 2020, so much better than dd wrt was back in 2017. if that don't work, download my attachment and unzip and try flashing that and see if it still gets stuck, if it allows you to flash to that build then try flashing to the latest.

Thanks for the response.
I already tried the 23709c for recover but didn't work.
I tried today once more to do "erase nvram" and the full reset process.
Then updated all the parameters based on the wireless settings recommendations and already see an improvement on the 5Ghz range and speed which is good enough.
Thanks for the help.

make sure your wireless channel is 161 on 5ghz, I know for my router if i set anything lower my range is pure garbage.

Keep in mind do not 30/30/30 your WZR-1750DHP as the BCM4708A0 is ARM. User Manual: Reset Button

"To reset all settings, hold down this button until the Buffalo LED turns red (about 3 seconds). The power must be on..."

Command wget http:http:// is a problem. Also you should be using web upgrade binary, not factory. Here's an example.

Code:
cd /tmp

wget http://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2020/08-28-2020-r44251/buffalo_wzr-1750dhp/buffalo-wzr-1750dhp-webflash.bin

write buffalo-wzr-1750dhp-webflash.bin linux &

reboot

Verify a successful flash and full boot, then hard reset or "nvram erase && reboot" (this command is for newer builds only).

Do not restore from a backup, instead reconfigure manually from scratch.

Hi Blkt,

Thanks for your recommendations. Was not aware that the 30/30/30 reset was not be used on this router.

Tried your recommendation on 44251 but it didn't flash the new build (44251). Still with 36410.

Any idea how I can improve the speed of Wi-Fi 2.4Ghz?

5 GHz is about 100-120 UL and 30 DL in most place here, but 2.4Ghz is only about 1-2 UL and 5-7 DL!
Setup for 2.4 GHz is:
Wireless Mode: AP
Wireless Network Mode: NG-Mixed
Wireless Channel: 1
Channel Width: 20

Thanks,
