If I go to Setup / Basic Setup, there are 3 fields for 3 DNS server entries (Static DNS 1 to 3).

Recently I've noticed that under Status / WAN, there are now 5 DNS servers listed: IPv4 DNS 0 to 4:
-from 0 to 2 there are those which I defined in Setup / Basic Setup as stated above,
-whereas 3 in 4 are added automatically (from current ISP).
Is there any way to override this? If I'm using custom DNS servers (e.g. OpenDNS with custom blocklists), the numbers 3 and 4 are dealbreaking here.

When you post we can help you better if you adhere to the forum guidelines see the link in my signature at the bottom i.e. state router model and build number.

The automatic adding of the ISP DNS servers is a long standing DNS leak extensively described.

But this hole can easily be plugged nowadays by Ticking/Enabling "Ignore WAN DNS" on the Setup page

There are also other ways as described in the DNS Problems guide see: https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=321686

Thanks. The "Ignore WAN DNS" setting should do for now.
My router is Atheros based Tp-Link, but I figured this question is rather generic, that's why I chose this subforum to post it.

The option "Ignore Wan DNS" is only available starting with build 44048 and is independent of Chipset, but if you know all this you should not need to ask.

That is why it is usually helpful to follow the forum guidelines.
