[WARNING]: This thread is only for feedback on this beta release for developers and the community's benefit.
DO NOT flash this beta release unless you understand the risks involved and specific device recovery methods.
Avoid discussions! Create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.[/b]
Notes:
• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix (applicability depends on VPN setup) and GUI toggle. 6920, 6928, 6931, 6932 (WIP 7040)
• In-kernel Samba has been implemented this year and default min/max versions have changed 6954, 6957, with WSD support.
• VAP issue is fixed! For any Wireless Mode, create a VAP and both ath0/ath1 should now function properly.
• Local DNS option removed from Services->DNSMasq in changesets 43080 and 43081; ref: #7092
• DHCP and DNS help (English) updated in 43083; ref: #7091
• WireGuard 1.0.20200712: PBR, Kill Switch, Inbound Firewall, Naming of Peers, Status, Key, Guides. Thanks egc!
Issues:
• There may be remaining issues for Samba (for example NTFS), with frequent updates.
Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog/serial output, strace etc.
• For firewall issues provide 'iptables -L', 'iptables -t nat -L' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.

Just wondered if the WRT1900ACS V1 had a little tweak as i have one spot in my house (the bog) where WiFi can fluctuate but just tested and it's working normally now ie watching YouTube vids which most times YouTube would timeout / not load vids and tell me to refresh _________________ | Netgear Nighthawk X4S R7800 | Linksys WRT1900ACS V1 | Huawei Echolife HG612 3B |

That changeset 44215 is after this build r44213.
Sometimes BS sneaks in a few last minute changes on a release, but fairly certain this time we need to wait for the next build.
Damn, you got me, I saw the 18th and just thought oh lets see...
Maybe Eyerex had a placebo, wondering what build he came from.
I know he has nightly builds, but I have no idea where to find them or forgot along the way LOL. _________________ Tutorial for flashing WRT series WRT Installation,Upgrade & Basic Setup–Cliff Notes

Noticed that my iphone loses Wifi connection now and again with this latest build, need to re-enabled wifi on the phone for it to work again. Was not an issue in v3.0-r43471 (my go to stable build). I see there is a newer option to allow channel overlapping. Whats the default for this?
WRT1900ACv2
Wireless Mode: AP
Wireless Network Mode: Mixed
Channel Width: VTH (80MHz)
Wireless Channel 149 - 5745 MHz
Extension Channel - UU (+6)

Upgraded all routers r44191 -> r44213 IE11 No Reset
Had some difficulty with the WDS stations 1900V1's where I had to hard reboot after the upgrade as they refused to connect to the AP. The master 3200 also required a hard reboot as it would not connect to internet after upgrade. Otherwise up and running 20+ hours.
The 1900V1 on WDS Station mode still rebooting periodically for no apparent reason. Switched to Client Bridged mode but no change. More details at;
my Iphones also had wifi connection issues with this build - similar to doniNZ74. I fell back to 44048 and everything is good. channel overlapping is disabled on 44048 so I'm not sure what happened. I didn't have any time to troubleshoot unfortunately.
WRT1900ACSv2 ... 08-18-2020-r44213
all work well .... only issues after r42054 release's that "access restriction" not working after reboot ... have to apply manually after each reboot to activate it
report several time before ... hope fix will be done in next release
best regards...

Transmission Daemon - I turned it off again in the GUI and run it from "Startup".
"watch-dir" is now saved, but when the router is rebooted, my settings are reset to "watch-dir": "".
It also does not save the settings (pictures below). And if I add them manually to "settings.json" (as expected - with the daemon turned off), then when starting through the GUI it will install its own.
Configure: Transmission Config Directory - /jffs/Share/Torrents.
It is possible that the settings file breaks during unsuccessful Transmission starts when starting the router. "/jffs" is not yet mounted by the system.

Sometimes I lose access to some sites. The nature of the phenomenon is not yet clear to me, there is a suspicion that DNSCrypt2 is buggy. For example, to access this forum, I had to restart my router, the commands "stopservice dnsmasq; startservice dnsmasq" did not fix the situation. _________________ Linksys WRT1900ACSv2
