I recently bought a Netgear R7000P which claims to support MU/MIMO, beam steering on the wifi, and WMM (wifi multi-media, which provide voip priority over wifi). I have been planning on loading the router with dd-wrt, but I want to continue to have the MU/MIMO, beam steering and WMM as I think it improves my VOIP over wifi (I really don't know for sure).
Since its inception in 2012, LeoVegas: https://slots-online-canada.ca/review/LeoVegas-Casino/ has grown to amass a pride of loyal players; delivering the latest in gaming innovation on the go.
My question is: Does dd-wrt for the R7000P support MU/MIMO, beam steering and WMM, or would I sacrifice those if I load dd-wrt.

On Broadcom you have two sets of beamforming- explicit and implicit beamforming.

Mu/Mimo is a qualcom/atheros specific term. And you don't want to use it on qca based systems. Single user beamforming only when using a qca router... see my signature.

going back to implicit vs explicit...this is all I know:

Explicit includes 802.11ac's standard method requires transmitter and receiver to exchange information about the radio channel. (Seems like Mu/Mimo)

Implicit beamforming, which is used in some 802.11n products, doesn't require support on both ends of the wireless link. Instead it infers channel characteristics based on lost frames. (Seems like Su/Mimo)

client support with mixed chipsets may yield funky results. YMMV
