I really believing in re-using HW than unnecessarily buying anew so I need help in 2020 for this TP Link MR 3220 V2.

DDWRT support page mentions this is supported.
MR3220V2 Atheros AR9331

1) can USB 2.0 be re-purposed as file sharing thru USB stick with DD wrt builds ?
2) above build lists a 2016 build, is there any newer available ?
3) will revert possible easily to stock rom - I see this listed (https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=321261)
4) will range be better with DD WRT (wifi power management in some way)
