Is that still true 13 years later, or can the new DD-WRT releases manage these interfaces now? (Perhaps, by using the same binary blobs, that Actiontec's Linux is using)?
I have a couple of those devices and, if I can connect them via coax, that's already running through the walls, could do a few interesting things...
Thanks!
(No, @kernel-panic69, I'd rather not "try and find out" -- an hour in the library saves a month of research...)

I moved your post to the CORRECT forum. And yes, you *do* test and find out and report. That is how it works. People have not reported on that device much in YEARS. So, CONTRIBUTE.

DD-WRT is not a natural phenomenon, which needs to be studied -- and results of studies reported. It is a human-made artifact.
We're on a forum dedicated to this software project, and it is perfectly reasonable to expect actual developers to be able to comment on whether a particular feature has been implemented -- either because they implemented it personally, or participated in a discussion on whether (or how) to best implement it, etc.
I can answer such questions about the projects I'm involved in -- and, when I cannot, I can usually identify someone, who can.
I appreciate your moving the topic to the right forum (I posted to "Broadcom SoC" originally, because that's what the old instructions reference), but I cannot understand, why you'd demand I experiment on my own -- nor your attempts to lock the thread preventing anyone else from replying (which lock has now been lifted, thankfully).

I unlocked it to give you an opportunity to do the right thing. The right thing is not bikeshedding. Again, not everyone with wiki edit access, moderator access, admin access works for the company. No users work for the company. The community helps by giving input and discussion. This topic has not been discussed in 13 years, apparently. Probably for good reason. I will forward this thread to the developer and he can choose whether or not to answer or discuss, keep topic locked or unlock it. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

these devices can only be used as wifi routers. there is no way to use the cable modem since there is no public driver available for it, nor is there any documentation available _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking?
