Revert ASUS RT-AC5300 back to stock

I have a ASUS RT-AC5300 with ddwrt 6/15/20 build on it.
I want to revert back to stock firmware.
I tried using asus restoration utility. It keeps saying router is not in rescue mode. I did follow the instructions to put it in rescue mode.
When I accessed 192.168.1.1 it showed mini server UI. I tried uploading stock firmware through that and it still stayed at DDWRT.
Any suggestions to make this work?
