|
Good Morning:
I will admit I'm a newbie so I apologize if I've posted to the wrong board. I did search and this seems to be the place.
My question is simple. Currently, on my Asus RT-AC87U, I'm using Merlin. Because of VPN requirements with Cyberghost, I believe I need to flash to DD-WRT. Are there any issues with flashing to DD-WRT? I'm trying to prevent bricking my router.
Thank you for your kind help.

Merlin is just modified stock firmware, so no need to flash back to original 'AsusWRT', but a reset is recommended first if you've enabled a lot of services (and reset after flashing of course). But flashing to OEM before DD is highly recommended when running Tomato-based or OpenWRT firmware. _________________ # NAT/SFE/CTF: limited speed w/ DD # Repeater issues # DD-WRT info: FAQ, Builds, Types, Modes, Changes, Demo #
