I currently have a fibre optic modem from the phone company that is relatively poor but is used to receive the local Mexican TV via the internet. I have heard that it cannot be replaced. I also have a Netgear router running DD-WRT with OpenVPN to Denver, CO to receive the Local Denver TV via internet. My primary TV can receive a good wi-fi signal from both devices and I can choose which connection to use. However, my other TV has almost no signal due to all concrete walls. For this TV I have a manual switch box near the routers and the house is prewired with a single internet cable to each room. So, the second TV is switched manually and is fed via an Ethernet cable to its old Roku box. I would like to switch this to WI-FI so that a computer could also be used as well as the smart features in the TV.
What is the best configuration to accomplish my goal.
I tried to set up another router as an access point using DD-WRT at the end of the single Ethernet cable which gives a good wifi signal but it cannot be switched between the 2 sources. I also tried to use the manual switch box but this also does not work.
