Hi

So, DMZ went into the box, with the IP specified; what should I expect to have changed and what should I be expecting to have to do with the router behind the router with the DMZ setting?

Only looking for web server support? Should I allocate more than 3 hours to getting this done; I plan to be in operation with this by Monday. I have plenty of time though, Monday is a holiday here.

Screenshot shows a router with 192.168.2.7 entered into it, click if necessary.

All the best.

Hi again guys - listen I came back to this bewildered, my DMZ setting is for the WAN IP of the router in front of the ISP router and everything else suggested I have done, including upgrading the firmware - still no joy.

The weird thing is SSH access works just fine (I can connect to the tower server via the IP address given on the LAN page) so I turned off the firewall (with no change) and tried disabling and re-enabling the port range forwarding, again with no luck.

I figure it must be because of a firewall or access restriction I am not aware of. Hope someone can help.

SSH is using port 22, HTTP port 80 or 443 for HTTPS

What exactly do you mean by SSH access what are you doing (which program) from where (client PC?) to what IP address?

192.168.1.31 must run an sshd server and have the firewall configured to accept connections on port 22

It is, just a standard CentOS install

Server reports HTTPD being operational and accepts port 80/443

Not sure what it could be. I use this server a lot.

Yes but you were asking about SSH, if you want to contact the server via SSH then SSHD should be running and port 22 open

that has nothing to do with HTTPD

No, I meant to ask why SSH works and HTTPD doesn’t.

Ah ok, well assuming you are trying to open the webpage from the same OSX client and it is not working then check if the webserver is running and ports are opened.

I personally do not use CentOS only Ubuntu and Kali so cannot help you with making a webserver run on CentOS

@ecg

My web server is running via a fully operational DirectAdmin interface with ports opened by CSF Firewall. It should work, but the router is interfering. Stuck here.

This is crazy. I can access DirectAdmin on port 2222 but I can't access the web server on port 80. Changing to port 8080 fixed my issue.
