hi,

I have syslog enable in service, but in winscp I can't find ''syslog.conf'' or something like that, I try to remote my syslog via syslog watcher on my laptop.

I look in /etc/syslog or rsyslog, but nothing...

idea?

thanks

still trying to.... with syslog watcher

I try to receive my syslog on my laptop via app /remote .
I downloaded syslog watcher, and I followed that doc:

https://www.howtogeek.com/107069/how-to-remotely-collect-server-events-using-syslog/

but according to them, just add our ip and clic on start and thats it, but I have no log.

''in dd wrt, put:

the IP/DNS of the collecting server ''

Is is my windows laptop IP?

thanks

Set static IP for your syslog server machine / give it a static lease in DD-WRT, put that IP in the remote syslog server address block in the config, save & reboot. Syslog Watcher is not that difficult to set up. Quit nuking it out.

Yeah, "apply" doesn't always work as expected in the webUI. I generally just "save" all my configurations on each page/tab and then reboot. That how-to was probably written when it was a little less temperamental or prior to some code changes.
