• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix from December, since then various revisions including recently 7040.
• In-kernel Samba has been implemented this year and default min/max versions have changed, with WSD support.
• VAP issue is fixed! For any Wireless Mode, create a VAP and both ath0/ath1 should now function properly.
• WireGuard 1.0 & tools! New GUI Tunnel options since r42872; now with key management! Setup guides: Client & Server by egc
• Local DNS option removed from Services->DNSMasq in changesets 43080 and 43081; ref: #7092
• DHCP and DNS help (English) updated in 43083; ref: #7091
Issues:
• There may be remaining issues for Samba (for example NTFS), with frequent updates.
Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog/serial output, strace etc.
• For firewall issues provide 'iptables -L', 'iptables -t nat -L' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.

Are you using W10? What file system is your NAS using? I'm on W10 and my USB NAS are NTFS and it fails horribly. What is your setup process?

All Routers r43136 -> r43171
No reset with IE11
Upgrade remote WDS Stations over WiFi
Very clean upgrade, no problems whatsoever.
Turned on 2.4Ghz on Master 3200 and will see if DHCP problem still exists but will likely need to wait 24+ hours. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+

Nothing fancy. No passwords. No user setup. Windows 10, USB - NTFS.

May 18 00:45:55 DD-WRT local5.err ksmbd: [ksmbd-worker/4030]: ERROR: User database file does not exist. Only guest sessions (if permitted) will work.
If I add a user/pw, it just returns with access denied. Frustrating.

When you connect DD-WRT with openvpn client using a static preshared key (point to point / peer-to-peer) it does not work. The reason is, that the GUI wrongly puts a "client" statement in the openvpn config file, which openvpn does not allow when running with static key.
So it would be great, if the GUI could figure out to not put in "client" if there is something in the static key field, or you had a separate section for preshared key / p2p vpn settings.
The problem is, that this wrong entry is added every time you reboot the router and you have to log in, modify the file and restart the open vpn service

One major difference between this firmware and the one released on 5/13(r43136) is that CPU Utilization is no longer hovering around 50% consumed all the time. It has now fallen down to under 10% utilization.
Made sure to upgrade with all wireless antennas on and on mixed mode from r43055 on both, this seems to be an issue on the 3200ACM on some upgrades without resetting settings.
Will report if there's any issues. _________________ Router: Linksys WRT3200ACM WLAN0 and 1 have same SSID

Hi,
Thank your for all your Work. I just flashed this build and the only issue I'm facing is the System load in the Gui. always hovering around 50%. top command on the CLI shows 99,9 idle on the other Hand. Is this a known bug? Please forgive me if I'm doing something wrong, but I did not find any references to this problem besides the reply in this thread. _________________ WRT32x

ntp continues to be broken. This is going to result in random network problems due to network time constancy being broken.
Code:
Jan 1 00:00:20 DD-WRT daemon.err ntpclient[1654]: Failed resolving address to hostname pool.ntp.org: Try again
Jan 1 00:00:20 DD-WRT daemon.err ntpclient[1654]: Failed resolving server pool.ntp.org: Network is down
Jan 1 00:00:20 DD-WRT daemon.err process_monitor[1653]: cyclic NTP Update failed (servers pool.ntp.org)

This is not an ntpclient issue. This is a DNS resolution issue. Without any idea of your configuration, I don't know what could be causing this. I have random resolution errors at times. But if it syncs at least once a day, then really it's not an issue IMHO. A known workaround is to put an IP address in the ntp server config. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
