How to enable smcroute?

Seeking insights. I "need" smcroute in dd-wrt, to enable proper multicast handling in our network.

(smcroute is how a remote ddwrt running openvpn client would tell pimd on the server LAN that the remote is listening for multicast.)

Anyone have a clue? I don't find it anywhere in my reasonably current ddwrt...

Entware or OpenWRT .ipk is the only options I know of.
