yep it reports things like that, but it cannot run any of those that support the real v2
you can click the link in my sig and try any or those servers from the thread
non will work with dnscrypt that comes with ddwrt

Yes I have your set up and it works.
But someone told me that maybe i have to update the dnscrypt version cause cloudflare security (1.1.1.2) does not work.
I lose wifi.
Quad9, next dns, cleanbrowsing work, only cloudflare doesn't
if you go trough the all of list, you will find very few are supporting the real V2, most of the rest are running v1.95 or v2 kind of different, as it uses different DNScrypt protocol, not v2, but it reports v2 in ddwrt....fake i guess
as well with DNScyppt-proxy v2, you can fairly run any of those that support DoH, well most of them...(there are few that need different settings)...
Back in the days when i tested it, i was surprised that non of the v1.95 was able to run with DNScrypt-proxy v2...
I moved to DNScrypt-proxy v2, as my ISP started to block that one, that runs in DDWRT..
Than i moved to DoT, as i dont need DNScrypt and its obvious, while DoT or DoH are more stealth and proper FBDS (Firewall Bypassing DNS Solution)...they also have problems, but in terms of settings and security DNScrypt-proxy v2 rules...and its stable
recently i tried SmartDNS via Entware and it runs well too but in a day it gets buggy, the problem was i dont trust it neither it works stable, i prefer GetDNS solution instead, so far Stubby works well and its light and reliable too...
jauch888888 entware will install the last compatible version during install,
later you can do...
opkg update
opkg upgrade
and with those commands it will check and update to the last version, i guess
I haven't tried recently to tell you witch version is the current, but you can check it...
opkg --list-installed
Entware does not always run the last updates...but it runs those that are stable...
ive no idea how to install and make it work, the one from your link above, i guess this version is for linux PC, not router's linux, that is different environment... _________________ Atheros

Current stable DNSCrypt client version: 1.9.5
Current stable DNSCrypt server version: 0.3
As best I recall from the last time I looked at things, the v2 *protocol* is the same between v1.9.5 and v2.x versions of dnscrypt-proxy. The key difference is the use of golang in the v2.x of dnscrypt-proxy (dnscrypt-proxy2). _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

my ISP can block...DDWRT DNScrypt...but not DNScrypt-proxy v2... I din not use any DOH options with it...
apart of that V2 uses better key exchange mechanism, as well some other security improvements...over v 1.95 _________________ Atheros

personally, i stay away from 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 as a DNS solution...there are much better and safer DNS providers out there...9.9.9.9 is a kind of, a decent.. _________________ Atheros
