I'm sure this has been discussed many times before so please excuse if this seems redudant...

I've noticed with DD-WRT my 5Ghz radio doesn't seem to allow any clients to connect... PERIOD, regardless of the settings. Is this a known issue?? I experimented with just about every setting I could find and it refuses to allow anything to connect. I've verification the radio is broadcasting and have even defaulted DD-WRT and left the network wide open but still no luck. I can connect using the Linksys firmware and am at the point where I am about to TTL into the console and nuke everything. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Well, you didn't mention anything about your current configuration or the build you are using.

New Build - 05/09/2020 - r43099

After a successful flash, you can nuke the configuration from orbit with telnet and "nvram erase && reboot" or a hardware reset.

Wireless: Basic Settings:

5 GHz ath0:

Wireless Network Mode: AC/N-Mixed

Wireless Channel: Choose from 36-48 or 149-161 ranges to avoid DFS. (Never Auto)

2.4 GHz ath1:

Wireless Network Mode: NG-Mixed (or Mixed if you want slow B rates)

Wireless Channel: 1 or 6 or 11 (Never Auto)

Wireless Security:

Only check WPA2 Personal and CCMP-128 (AES) for each radio interface. Set your passwords.

Be sure to Save on each page as you make changes. Ignore the Apply button at all times. Done? Reboot.
