First day with a custom firmware and I cannot figure out why I have low speed internet.
My setup is:
Internet -> Ono cable Router CG3300CMR - > PLC TPLINK 500 - > TL-WDR4300 -> Laptop AC3160
Router Model TPLINK TL-WDR4300 v1
Firmware Version DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) std - build 21061
Kernel Version Linux 3.5.7 #6134 Mon Mar 25 07:09:54 CET 2013 mips
When I connect Laptop with cable to WDR4300 I have around 70 Mbps
If I connect to 5 Ghz or 2 Ghz max speed 22 Mbps (with standar firmware aroudn 40 - 60 Mbps)
If I connect with a Samsung S7 50 Mbps.
I have no QOS activated and in 5 GHz is.
I dont know if Matters but in 5Ghz I have 802.11a (to 54 Mbps).
i generally use only 2,4 Ghz and my settings are:
-NG mixed (others are broken)
-HT40
-channel 11 + lower
-WPA2 AES WI-FI encryption (is a must)
-Short GI
-Short Preamble
-Country domain Canada (it has better TX power settings)
-also you seems to run very old build check here for new
builds ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/ check also new builds forum treads for compatibility and performance _________________ Atheros

For 5GHz use:
-N only
-HT40
-channel 149 or something high, the lower channels have lower max TX power.
-WPA2 AES WI-FI encryption (is a must)
-Short GI
-Short Preamble
-Country domain Canada (it has better TX power settings) _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.
