Hi,
I have 2 routers on my network, one is the main router and the other is a wired bridge. They occasionally reboot so I'm trying to figure out why. I'm trying to set up syslog to output to the papertrail website so I won't lose the logs whenever the router reboots. I set up both routers to output their logs to the papertrail site as follows:
In the Services page in Syslog server box I put in: logs2.papertrailapp.com:XXXXX
I hid the specific port for privacy. Anyway, the papertrail site unfortunately can't tell the routers apart since they have the same outward IP address. Does anyone know any tricks to distinguish multiple devices on papertrail when they are from the same network with same outward IP address?

1)You can create different free accounts in order to differentiate the individual routers
2)But if you want to have all toghether, and guess which one is failing at a certain time, you can write a cron job to log "It's me, I'm alive" every minute or so. If errors reported are close to the one missing to report. probably you could tell, and figure out the rest _________________ If you want support, please read first the announcements and forum rules.
