I have a Netgear Nighthawk AC2400 that I am trying to install dd-wrt onto. I have followed the directions on the wiki, but it seems like the firmware is not being packaged correctly for my router. I am provided a .chk and a .bin file for upload to the router. The router does not accept either one, and asks for a .img file. If I rename them to .img, it uploads it, then gives me an error saying "Firmware upgrade failed. Please check your file."
Upon further research I found that much older firmware files from Netgear are packaged as .chk files, but newer ones are packaged as .img files. It is also not possible to downgrade to older firmware because of this, resulting in the same error as the attempted dd-wrt flash.
Is there an alternative download available that I am perhaps missing, with the proper ".img" firmware packaging?

A Netgear r7000 is an AC1900. Even the r7000P is an AC2300. You're saying you have an AC2400, which is not an r7000. Likely a 7350 or 7450, not supported. _________________ Linking Routers | DD-WRT Wiki | DD-WRT Builds
