Do not use auto channel for starters. Save after each change on a page, then when finished Reboot.

Basic WiFi settings: channel width 20 MHz, 2.4 GHz channel 1, 6 or 11 and 5 GHz channel 36-48 or 149-161.

Once you have confirmed stability, then you can try 40 MHz width to see if your clients remain happy.

I recommend VREM WiFi Analyzer (open source) if you want to see nearby channel usage with your phone.

Let us know what you have configured or changed so far.

If you insist on VHT80 please try 36+LL or 149+LL for channel and extension.

I know, they should be UU but Broadcom's settings are inverse or flipped.

ACK Timing 900 or 1350.

Save them in this order: Channel Width, Save, Extension Channel, Save, Wireless Channel, Save. Reboot.

Hello,
Not at home right now, but have made the changes remotely, and I can see the Wireless Packet Info in status page giving NO ERROR after that, so will check the speed once on the place. I will come with the results.
Thanks

For 5 GHz wireless mode should be AC/N mixed if I am not mistaken

Also take care of the 32 KB nvram limit

See the EA6900 guide, https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=291230#291230

Hello all
Just tried the AC/N mixed mode, almost the same result. The wifi is stable as in Mixed mode. The only difference i can see as the number of error in Wireless Packet Info. Number of errors on AC/N mixed keeps on increasing. But in mixed mode they are comparatively less.
And checked on different clients, all are good, only one mobile has still not stable wifi, so may be its problem with that mobile.

Thanks for the info on 32KB nvram. I noticed mine also nvram going up. So i saved the script in the forum at startup. Its helping. Nvram shows 24 KiB / 64 KiB

Thanks
