Guys I'm opening this thread because I've an issue with my house network.

My networks is composed by a Linksys WRT32X as main router for first floor and living room and a small TPLINK WDR3500 as repeater in the second floor. I'm using the 5GHz as channel to have WDS communication between the two routers and 2.4GHz to distribute the signal to the clients.

It usually works well, I've a 200mbps WAN access and I can get 200mbps in the 5GHz network and in 2.4Ghz usually have 25-35mbps.

The real problem is that I don't have idea why the TPLINK WDR3500 drops the WDS under load specially at the night. For example during day there're usually 3 -4 clients connected to it but at night I have 5 - 8 and randomly the WDS link dies.

When this happens I can ping the TPLINK router, access telnet, access admin panel but I can't reach the main Linksys router, the only way to fix this Is restarting the TPLINK

I've checked every thing I know but still don't know what else should I check, so I ran out of ideas.

Both routers are running DD-WRT v3.0-r42747 std (03/20/20)

i have no solution , but i am wondering that it is working at all since you have qualcomm and marvell chipset involved , i didnt know that was possible ... well maybe it isnt because its not strictly one chipset manufacturer ...

i have a similar setup consisting a Tp link WDR3500 and a Dlink DIR 859 ...

WDS drops also occasionally, but randomly every 1-30 days , there is really no pattern , exept some builds are more stable than others ....

I still don't understand why there are issues in WDS using different chipset manufacturers.

At the moment the issue is just getting worse and worse, now I'm having between 4 to 6 disconnections per day from the WDS station Crying or Very sad

It's most likely the Marvell device at fault as the drivers are junk and have not been fixed before Marvell jumped ship.

Try AP/Client instead of WDS. Less compatibility issues.
