Had some issues with the time it takes for an USB stick to mount (needed to add a sleep 60 in some scripts), but otherwise fine. Even for a change of over a year, it works great.
I have DDNS, USB mounted /jffs, OpenVPN, all working
r7800 cpu usage for sirq on wifi radios is still broken and over 3x higher than kong builds and BS k3.18 builds.. and all cpu usage in general. k3.18 was flawless and could even use ondemand min 384mhz with zero issue, and wifi interrupts use less than half the cpu. been saying this for years, only kong fixed this with kernel 4.
kong r40720m firewall/qos/nat disabled, 5ghz sirq cpu load @ 320mbps:
core0: 15%
core1: 3%
ANY k4.x bs build firewall/qos/nat disabled, 5ghz sirq cpu load @ 320mbps:
core0: 60%
core1: 40%
many routers have disabled/broken hostapd syslog output. 5ghz ht40 channels are still messy as channel overlapping setting is ignored and not working there.. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Status: working
Reset: No.
Errors: Had to reboot the WDS AP router a second time to get 2.4 GHz to come up.
Everything seems to be working. I did notice a lower openvpn transfer rate of a disappointing 50 Mb. Got my 500 Mb ISP upgrade today and ISP speed test server showed 500 Mb up/down (without vpn of course).
Last couple of builds kill 2.4G Client Bridge (routed) for clients. ath1 never comes up and just shows Radio is Off and Unknown channel. The main AP is set to 2.4G VHT40 channel 6 Lower (so it's 6+2) and seem to work fine, just the client router cannot figure out channels.

The 2.4 GHz radio issue has occurred over the last 2 or 3 firmwares for the R7800. When I had a WRT3200ACM for my WDS AP it was the 5 GHz radio that didn't always come back up. On the R7800 the 5 GHz radio always comes up after a firmware upgrade (so far) but the 2.4 GHz has difficulty coming back up.

Just found out that 2.4 radio comes on for R9000 but quality reports 9% to 18% (and horrible throughput) on every channel when there are no bluetooth devs, microwaves or competing APs around.
Firmware before this the same 2.4 radio was reporting between 78% to 86%. A few reboots later and its at 51%. Thats a bit odd but still very manageable.
Minor quibble, the date on the build says 2/27/2020, not 2/28/2020, but the build version is correct.

Speed down from last build but I tested around 8pm local time on a Friday. I will test again over the weekend. _________________ Netgear R9000
