|
While I can watch and be satisfied with 720p content on my 55" HDTV, my kid is watching stupid teens vloggers in 1080p over a cellphone or a 7" tablet.
My ISP plan is 450GB monthly with 30/10 bandwidth.
My goal is to not only keep the kid from throtling my TV while he watches his tablet at a higher bitrate but also to keep him from eating all my monthly bandwidth.
Initially, I setted the kid's devices at a MAX WAN DOWN = 2000 kbits and MAX WAN UP at 500 kbits.
Question : Is it the best way to achieve my goals ?
It's my understanding that If I set his devices at Bulk priority, he will be limited only if us adults are doing more important things with the live bandwidth. If we are not doing anything, he can suck up the whole 30/10 and it won't do us good at the end of the month.
Should I keep the kid's devices at BULK, or at a 2000/500 kb/s or any other suggestion ?
