Router Model: Netgear R6300
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r36527 giga (08/09/1Cool
Kernel Version: Linux 3.10.108-d5 #20360 Thu Aug 9 15:31:35 CEST 2018 mips
CPU Model: Broadcom BCM5300 chip rev 1

Hello,

I have found that ARP packets that originate from the LAN or router itself are not broadcast to the WLAN clients. This causes myriad issues for me. I've been using DD-WRT for about 5 years and I discovered the issue last December when I upgraded from dd-wrt.v24-sp2-23900M (2014) to dd-wrt.v24-40559_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-R6300.bin. I have since downgraded (to the version above) and reset my system to factory defaults several times to no avail.

While researching the issue I found:

and

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1108552#1108552

... but neither of those appear to have a resolution that I can apply.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

@blkt

Thanks for the info! I will give that FW version a try.

It seems that the DD-WRT router database is not aware of that build. Or did I do something wrong? I've been getting my builds from here: https://dd-wrt.com/support/router-database/?model=R6300_v1

Have a look here. Where do I download firmware?

I finally had a chance to try this over the weekend and loaded DD-WRT v3.0-r42460 giga (02/20/20). This resolved the issue.

Thanks for the direction to the proper code!
