I have a Linksys WRT54G ver.3 router I have upgraded with the DDWRT firmware. My question is the specs on this router say it has 54Mpbs Data Transfer Rate, does the DDWRT firmware improve this speed? I also have a TP-Link Model No. TL-WR841N/TL-WR841ND, would this one improve my speed as a repeater better than the linksys?

Hi

wrt54g 2.2: Broadcom BCM4712 @ 216 MHz 16 MB 4 MB 54g mbps wireless.

wr841nd v ???, from 400,535,550 MHz ( 265.42 265.42 265.42 266.64 366.18 BogoMIPS ), 32mb ram, 4mb flash

300 mbps wireless.

So, doubts ?

wrt54g are bullet proof routers, as AP or wireless clients, as repeater they just choke on high/medium load.
841nd, they seem to be ok.
