So I flashed my router, and for some reason the GUI will only work for the first login, after that I am unable to log in anymore, or bring it up.

I am attempting to SSH tunnel the gui so that I can log in, however as SSH is not default, its not enabled. The ONLY reference to enabling it on google is telling me to use the GUI...

Telnet works, and I am logged in.

How do I turn on SSH through the telnet prompt?

nvram set sshd_enable=1
nvram commit

"nvram show | grep ssh" will show all variables to do with ssh.

So I set the nvram and the grep command shows:

# nvram show | grep ssh
sshd_enable=1

I tried to enable Public/private key but I think I have to set the variable.

Should there be more than just the variable I set listed?

I also ran nvram show | grep pass because I think I have to set the key, or else enable password logon for SSH? Not sure which are the correct variables, is there a manual for this?

It should make you able to login with ssh from the lan the same way as with telnet.

if you are on telnet and do not save and restart, you could always just start dropbear manually
