I'm running DD-WRT v3.0-r34015M Kongat 12/10/17 (probably very very old). My ISP just upgraded my internet connection where I would be getting ~ 400 Mbps downlink. While the tehnician was at my home, he tested with his router, and it showed ~ 400-410 Mbps downlink. However, with my router, I cannot get anything more than 100 Mbps. Is there a limitation with the firmware I'm running or the hardware (EA8500).

Really appreciate if anyone can point as to what is causing the bandwidth to be limited.

Thanks for the reply. I were to go the route of upgrading it, can I go to latest version directly from where I'm today (I'm running DD-WRT v3.0-r34015M kongat (12/10/17))

What latest firmware seems to be most stable ?

Plenty of people are still running r40270M, though this is beginning to change as people slowly migrate to the latest BS builds.

You should be able to upgrade directly without issue. I don't know about your configuration however.

If you run into strange behavior, reconfigure from scratch after "nvram erase && reboot" from Telnet/SSH client such as PuTTY.

Ongoing discussion about nonexistent problems here (and also here as well).

Things are getting much better however (latency spikes fixed recently and cron fixed in alpha builds).
