https://dd-wrt.com/support/other-downloads/?path=betas%2F2019%2F11-21-2019-r41586%2F

Firmware Version
DD-WRT v3.0-r41586 std (11/21/19)
Kernel Version
Linux 4.9.202 #1402 SMP Thu Nov 21 06:00:14 CET 2019 armv7l

Flashed to both partitions with Firefox 70.0.1

*NEW Feature...You can set your Minimum and Maximum protocols under NAS (For the Samba Server) in the GUI...Don't remember seeing that before this build. I had to reboot the router after making changes to these as it killed my internet just hitting save/apply. Internet came back after a reboot.

VPN, Samba, NAS, DLNA working.

WiFi NOT tested.

Flashed with no problems
no abnormal effects so far that i can find.

this one doesnt hang up on multiple restarts as i could get the last build to hang.

Upgraded WRT1200AC v1 from r41517 to r41586 using Waterfox Classic 2019.10 (64 bit) running on Linux Mint 19.1 OS.

Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, uptime about 3 hrs, wired/wireless connected, vpn up immediately. No drops wired/wireless or vpn. GUI up and running with no issues. I do NOT use QoS or NAS and SFE is always disabled.

Kernel Version Linux 4.9.202 #1402 SMP Thu Nov 21 06:00:14 CET 2019 armv7l

Nov 22 17:19:16 router daemon.notice openvpn[1657]: OpenVPN 2.4.7 arm-unknown-linux-gnu [SSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [EPOLL] [MH/PKTINFO] [AEAD] built on Nov 21 2019
Nov 22 17:19:16 router daemon.notice openvpn[1657]: library versions: OpenSSL 1.1.1d 10 Sep 2019, LZO 2.09

This release seems to have a quicker response while browsing/streaming.

Nothing to do with this specific release but for years my router OpenVPN client setup with ExpressVPN would not use Expvpn's encrypted DNS servers. My Expvpn apps did. I depended on the Static DNS, DNSMasq and Forced DNS Redirection using log free public DNS servers. Several releases back I noticed some new DNSMasq input in the syslog. When I checked - my router was now using Expvpn's encrypted DNS servers as my stand alone Expvpn apps did. All releases since have done the same. If I disable the OpenVPN client the router reverts to using the Static DNS's. Since I had not changed my vpn setup (other than server addresses) I assume this was a result of a firmware change?

Tested using this link before and after the change was noticed - DNS Leak Test - https://www.expressvpn.com/dns-leak-test

Upgraded from 41418 via GUI without any problems; uptime is 7 hours. No issues other than the usual red http authorization/authentication errors in syslog which I've been seeing for at least a year now. Performance is excellent and feels very snappy. Very stable in my environment.

Linksys WRT3200ACM: gateway mode, DNSMasq for DNS and DHCP, Wireguard client (Mullvad), Firewall enabled, QoS enabled HTB-CAKE, PBR enabled (SFE disabled). WIFI: 2.4ghz: NG-mixed, 20mhz channel width, channel 1, WPA2-CCMP-128. 5ghz: AC/N mixed, 80mhz channel width, channel 100+6, WPA2-CCMP-128.

Linksys WRT1900ACS: router mode, hardwired ethernet lan to WRT3200ACM above. WIFI: 2.4ghz: NG-mixed, 20mhz channel width, channel 11, WPA2-CCMP-128. 5ghz: AC/N mixed, 80mhz channel width, channel 52+6, WPA2-CCMP-128.

Guys but does samba work for you? On my Wrt3200ACMV2 and Asus RT-AC87U I set everything but they are not accessible with android. Everything works with Windows. But are these protocols limited? Are we using Samba 4 or 2? Thank you all

I found the httpd daemon to be very unreliable and it dropped the wan connection on me several times too. Reverting back to 41517.

I just figured id come back and report this one is working great on my 1900ac V1 its been speedy all around no internet lag, drops or nothing and i transfered 88gigs over the lan today and it was speedy!
none of my legacy devices are making trouble either.

No gui issues for me, but then again none of them have as long as it wasnt a bad build.. but the gui is fast to respond for me even under a load.

Upgraded from r40009 without issue on the flash on my wrt1900acs v1

I promptly lost the GUI again overnight even with a cron job restarting the httpd every hour. I'm losing hope that this is ever going to get fixed as it appears to be only a few people it's happening to.

Ok, I have to ask. Your web administration, is it configured for http only or https only? Do you have just LAN web administration configured and enabled or LAN and WAN?

Everything on the administration tab is default so it's http. The only change I've made on that tab is the additional cron job I added to restart httpd every hour. I only added that a build ago because of the constant GUI loss.

If other people weren't also seeing this loss of GUI I'd chalk it up to a bad router or something but I never had the problem when running openwrt. I'd have already gone back to that if not for dd-wrt being much easier to configure things like a vpn.
