EA8500
Version DD-WRT v3.0-r41468 std (11/06/19)
Linux 4.9.199-rc1 #487 SMP Wed Nov 6 00:59:24 CET 2019 armv7l
Seems fine on EA8500 switch / ovpn / samba share ext4
WNDR3700 V4
DD-WRT v3.0-r41468 std (11/06/19)
Linux 3.18.140 #58789 Wed Nov 6 04:58:40 +04 2019 mips
fine on switch / ovpn server / samba share ext4
Restoring a nvrambak_xxxxxx.bin file does NOT work on any builds after r41375 on the EA8500
hehehehe....now web gui bug on tl3420 and tl940n was gone thx BS
Please spend some more letters ...
GUI not working at all ? Reset to defaults options used ?
What does "gone" mean -> R.I.P ????
Edit: Sorry I misinterpreted it. Yes the GUI bug was solved in the previous build for some (maybe all affected) 4M flash devices, so it should work on this build. Now it would be interresting how this build performs on 32 M RAM devices. Thank you Jovan for your update

I didn't install this version on my wr841n yet but I would guess that he means that the bug that prevented firmware update via web gui (also factory reset and restore from backup) on a certain range of routers (mainly tplinks like 841n, 740n, etc.) is gone. In fact first firmware released in which the bug is fixed is r41418 (at least on my 841n).
Later edit: I installed this firmware on my WR841n v11, no reset, everything is good.
The R9000's are happy. _________________ Segment 1 XR700 10Gb LAN, 1Gb WAN ISP BS

enable dev tools on browser you use (e.g. F12 on Chromium)... try to upload nvrambak and when it gives you an error save html source and send it to BS via email...

It just resets the connection when you click 'Restore' on page ../config.asp on builds later than r41375
Restoring 'nvrambak_r41418_EA8500_Linksys EA8500.bin' Will NOT work in webif using build r41418.
Exact same 'nvrambak_r41418_EA8500_Linksys EA8500.bin' works perfect if you are using build r41375.
I'm done tinkering with it cause I already have quite a bit yesterday.
Just a lil bug in the webif --- I assume BS will fix it someday

Backup & restore works just fine using CLI but prolly not many want to do that.
example:
notes:
this unit is running ovpn server, VLAN on 2 ports + samba share
I done a nvram backup to its (samba) USB flash drive using ssh.
From the webif I deleted everything in ovpn server & disabled it.
Deleted the VLAN.
Set time zone to some waythehellfaroff place.
Using ssh I restored nvram and it's all perfect like she should be.

I hat to switch back to r41459 because the wireless drivers were core dumping.
Wireless for 7500v2 on build r41468 doesn't work. It complains about being wedged and unable to set any of the setting (CTS, RTS, BSS, etc..)
Then it will coredump firmware debug into dmesg.
I needed wireless for the morning so I can attach detail messages later. (Have to do this at night when no one is using the wireless).
I am assuming the ath10k driver was changed in some way.
