Hello everyone
I know my question would seem pretty stupid to most of you. Forgive me, I am quite new to networking.
I have installed DD-WRT on my RT-N18U, and LAN1 on my router is connected via a cable to my ADSL modem. I have configured the DD-WRT to use an OpenVPN client. My Wifi is now connected to the VPN.
My question is, how can I share this VPN connection through the other LAN sockets on my router. When I checked my IP address from the connection from the other LAN sockets of the router, it is showing my ISP IP.
I assume you unbridged the wifi or made an unbridged VAP so that it uses the VPN?
If that is the case then you can let other clients on your LAN use your VPN by setting the default gateway of said clients to your DDWRT router.
Suppose your ADSL modem/router has IP address of 192.168.1.1 and your DDWRT router has an IP address of 192.168.1.2 then you manully set the default gateway of your client to 192.168.1.2.
For Windows clients you can use NetSetMan to easily switch network configurations.
