I am not able to logon to my linksys router wrt3200acm that has dd-wrt firmware. I have reset the router 3 times and still cannot logon using "root" & "admin" user/password
combinations. I have certainly misplaced my records from when having setup the router and now I need to access the control panel because the router seemingly has been hacked.
I had installed a wifi-password to prevent anyone from getting into it. Can anyone help me or direct me to a solution?

try cleaning browser cache or use another browser
default http://192.168.1.1
you will need to make another user and password when prompted

Thank you for your response. As I stated, I have reset the router but I am still unable to access the dd-wrt control panel using "root" & "admin" as user/password. I have taken
screenshots to attach here. How do I reset or access the control panel to reconfigure the router. Wifi-Security etc.

I included 3 screens. Two of them are from the Chrome Browser. The other from IE browser.

Probably not the problem but worth checking.

If you have any security apps like NoScript, Privacy Badger etc installed in your browser make sure 192.168.1.1 is "Trusted". Also, check your computer firewall for the same thing.

If the 192.168.1.1 is not allowed/trusted the browser will not pass the user name and password to the GUI and the GUI won't open.

Without quotation marks try

User Name - root
Password - admin
