Hi guys wondering whether someone can provide some explanation on my issue. I have 2 R7000 routers running Kong build 6/8/2019. One is my primary router and the other is my extender configured as an Access Point (AP)mixed mode Both wireless have the same SSID but operating on different non congestion wireless channels. I have a device that connects to the 2.4mhz and during setup I have it connect to the router that has the strongest signal. All is fine however every day the device drops connection and requires a manual process of reconnecting. The things i have tried are the following:
Double checked the channels used are not congested
Change device IP from DHCP to static outside the DHCP range
Restricted the MAC address of the device in the primary router to ensure the device wasn't hunting between which router to connect to
All of the above made no difference.
However if I change the SSID of one of the routers to someone else then the device stays connected to the new SSID.
As from today I created a virtual wireless adapter with a different SSID to see if that makes a difference.

Does anyone have any idea what could be happening?

Thanks
