Does anyone else have a Linksys E1200 v2?
With the stock firmware I get disconnects a few times every day, frequent slowdowns, etc. I have three other (older) routers that work fine in the same apartment, so I dunno. Judging by Amazon reviews I am not the only person who experiences this. (Though that is not necessarily conclusive.)
Is this device worth flashing to DD-WRT or is it a POS that should get tossed?

It seems the E1200's (and maybe the E2000) are more finicky than some other E-series. I have a couple E1500's and E2500's that work fine; one of them is in service at the in-laws as an AP using recent builds.
Anyway, easy (and fun...for some of us) enough to try it and see how it does.

Did you look at all 3 linked pages? The E1200v2 must really have issues, because the only problem I've ever had was the cosmetics on the VLANS/Switch Config page, and all of the vlanports, etc. via CLI have been correct-ish. The dual-band E-series and EA-series routers don't have a vlan0, but DD-WRT seems to think they do.
I can't find any documentation. The blog mostly links to downloads, and the tomato wiki "supported devices" page hasn't been updated since before my router was manufactured. I'm not even sure if my router is ARM or MIPS.

Hell, I can run him a build from the last merge of master and mips-RT-AC branches "2019.3.180 beta" I have been meaning to ask pedro and gang if they wanted a real forum board set up. It is fun trying to find anything in that one thread sometimes.
Okay, I installed FreshTomato and have the same issue. Wifi works but no Internet.
No IP addresses.

I've tried swapping the cables and the ports, but no luck. Another router is working fine plugged into the same port. The light on above the "Internet" port is flashing so it is connected.

On the basic network setup page. there is a spot to enter the modem IP. If you are behind an ISP provided router, this would be that router's address. Entering 0.0.0.0 otherwise 'disables' that and should also work. I noticed on one of the previous builds that not entering that information seemed to break the WAN IP address. You can try release and renew after clicking 'save' at the bottom of the page, if it doesn't pick up an IP address.
Now this may be going too far back to the basic of the basics.....
I gotta ask.....Did you power cycle the Modem or Modem/Router upstream to the E1200v2 before connecting it for the first time?
Sounds like the Modem is still bound to the other router you say works...

The problem I think seems to be that the ISP router is in bridged mode, but my router is set as "Access Point". When I plugged my router into a third (working) router instead of the ISP router, the Internet started functioning properly.
Not sure what changes to make in FreshTomato however.
Or I could leave it plugged into the third router, but I would rather not.
