I have a Tp-Link TL-WR740N v5 and i recently upgraded its stock firmware to dd-wrt. But after doing so the internet is not working.
I have a static IP provided by the ISP...
In stock firmware i had the following settings - (IPs are made up)
Connection Type - Static IP
IP Address - 10.20.30.40
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway - 10.20.300.365
DNS - 172.200.0.0
But when i put the same setting in dd-wrt firmware....the internet doesnt work.
What am i doing wrong??

UPDATE-
I tried pinging some public IP addresses, but it just gives the not reachable error.
I have rebooted the router many times but no luck.
But when i plug the ethernet cable directly into my PC...then the internet works fine. Also...when i revert back to the stock firmware and put the above Static IP settings....then its working perfectly fine....so the problem is somewhere in the DD-WRT firmware.

Internet doesn't work is not specific enough. Sometimes it works (as in, you can ping a public IP address, say 8.8.8.8 ), but *DNS* doesn't work, so you can't ping google.com.

You may also have to call your ISP, if they do the static leases based upon MAC addresses. Or clone the MAC of the TP-Link to DD-WRT.

I tried pinging some public addresses, but that doesn't seem to work either. It just returns the not reachable error.

For reasons, i cant contact the ISP right now....thats why i cant rely on their help.
Also...i tried cloning the MAC address of the TP-Link router to the DD-WRT....but no luck...it still doesnt work.
