v3 of archer c9 1900 running a few months client mode (no wan use using firmware version 370xx)

Yesterday i wanted to reconfigured it to use wan. I thought maybe wan port is bad. So i changed the wan port in GUI to be LAN and one of the lan ports in GUI to be wan. Seems to have had no effect. So then i used ssh to change the ports.

nvram set vlan1ports="0,2,3,4,5*"
nvram set vlan2ports="1,5*"

after doing so I no longer can get IP on wan or lan. I can only access via wifi. Via wifi i attempted to factory default via gui and ssh. neither had any affect. I then upgraded via GUI but it failed. So then i upgraded via scp/ssh and now am running version 40189. I still can not get IP address on lan or wan. Setting up static IP on lan will still not allow me to ping router. I have full access via wifi to gui and ssh.

any ideas?

nvram erase && reboot
