Hello, I recently used the july 30th 2019 beta for my tplink AC1750 A7 V5 router, and I noticed on it that the lights were bugged (incorrect lights were on), and the reset/wps buttons weren't working. Now,naturally I dont mind that, but after using DD-WRT for about a week, I couldn't log in today because my username/password is wrong. This pretty much means that router is bricked since I cant reset it using the reset button or use the GUI /use telnet to do it.

I have already replaced my router with the same model as I had recently got it from amazon, but I was wondering if there is a stable build where the reset button works so I can have a back up incase this happens again?

I did look up all that, but afaik this isnt a bad flash right? and since none of the router buttons work apart from the power I would have to open it up and solder something, unless I missed some guide while I was searching

You could try doing a tftp flash: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Tftp_flash

Was there another build where everything worked, or was this the only build you've used?

https://wikidevi.com/wiki/TP-LINK_Archer_A7_v5.x

The link to the beta build in that wiki points to an older build.... there is also this forum thread that may be helpful:

I also just noticed that this device isn't listed in the official Supported Devices wiki, but there are downloads for it...

Update:

Ok so I did try the tftp flash earlier and it didnt work, but I just attempted it again and this time watched the logs, and I noticed for the recovery, the router was actually looking for "ArcherC7v5_tp_recovery" instead of "ArcherA7v5_tp_recovery", which is what I used earlier. Also apparently the reset button wasnt completely broken as it was still functional to do this flash. I have currently returned back to the default firmware and going to try another DD WRT build, thanks for the help!!
