my R9000 is covering good its floor but downstairs signal is too weak (2 walls, 2 doors and a stair in between). I have already tied some LAN cables connecting floors for wired network outlets, so I was thinking to place an AP using a LAN cable together with a POE injector to get both network and power from upper floor (where DD-WRT router is placed). I'd like to have a "seamless" wifi connection as if I was connected directly to the main router: same SSID, same password, same behaviour, like on a mesh (please correct me in case of mistake).
I was thinking at UniFi APs freesbies (Lite, LR, Pro): maybe they are good for the job?
I would accept any suggestion, even about configuration....

Both radio domains have to be the same, or the router won't broadcast.
