Linksys 1900ACS v2 not accepting factory-to-ddwrt.bin

Hey

I can't get the factory-to-ddwrt.bin to work on the 1900ACS v2.

I've read both
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Installation
and
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT1900AC

but when I've uploaded the factory-to-ddwrt.bin the router reboots but loads the linksys UI again, like it ignored the firmware.


I went to https://dd-wrt.com/support/router-database/?model=WRT1900ACS_v2 and downloaded the latest
released on 2019-07-04.

Does anyone have any idea?

You likely ran in to the 32mb file size limit for this particular router. You have to load an older factory to dd-wrt build first that's under 32mb. Then you can do a webflash to a newer build.

I think the last builds under 32mb were a year or so ago.
