on all versions for DIR-825revB above DD-WRT v3.0-r40009 std (06/11/19) no support for JFFS2 Support. Why was it?

This is a crappy router with only 8M of Flash. Probably not any free space for a JJFS volume. You can add a Memory Stick to the USB Port and format it with a volume named JFFS.
