Hi All,
I recently updated my WRT1900AC V2 router's stock image. I re-booted the router from existing DD-WRT partition to an alternate partition where the stock firmware was installed and in turn updated the stock image from FW_WRT1900ACv2_2.0.8.177401_prod to FW_WRT1900ACv2_2.0.8.187766_prod version. Next I tried to image the router with the latest release of DD-WRT image r40134 - ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2019/06-27-2019-r40134/linksys-wrt1900acv2/factory-to-ddwrt
However the router keeps rebooting back in to stock image. Next I reverted the the stock image back to FW_WRT1900ACv2_2.0.8.177401_prod and then tried again to update it with the above DD-WRT image, however the same issue persists. Note, I was able to image the router with a OpenWRT image and that was successful. I have now reverted the firmware back to the latest stock image. I have no idea why I can not install any version of DD-WRT back on my router again? Your prompt response is very much appreciated.

I had this happen to me once. Download Linksys firmware to both partitions, and try again with the newest DD-WRT firmware. Sometimes the install will corrupt without returning a failed message.
The recent builds of factory-to-ddwrt are all over 37MB which don't seem to be accepted by the stock firmware. Try to use a smaller <32MB version like 34311 factory-to-ddwrt to do an initial dd-wrt flash. _________________
