PPP Disconnect causes kernel panic

My ISP requires pppoe to be used to connect to the internet. It also requires periodic re-connections. The problem is, it sometimes causes the router to reboot (kernel panic). I believe this external post is relevant:

Please implement this one into your current work, I'd really like a stable router.

I've also had a problem with PPPoE on my WDR3600. After several days my router disconnected and couldn't connect again.
It started working after the factory reset, and we'll see how long it'll be work.

Which router,what build?? This board isn't really read by many, try posting in the right forum (Broadcom, Atheros, etc)
